98 silverado 4x4, my fuel pump recently died, after changing it my lights were alittle funny. Right after i changed it my my dash would light up everytime i pressed the brake, went away on its own quicly, then i noticed i had no rear running lights. all the other lights work still. i checked the bulbs, fuses, and connections, everything was good. turns out im not getting power at the rear connection(underbox, connects rear lights to wires running from front). Any ideas on where to start looking for problems? I will be tracing the wires as far as i can once i have the time, it was too dark to start that now. Any suggestions?

I don't know what you would have touched while changing the pump that would cause that kind of issue. I would start by checking any wires or new connections you made while changing the pump. I had issues with fuel gauge not working after changing my pump. I removed the ground wire from the tank and sanded it and it worked fine. Retrace your steps of installing, maybe a harness came unplugged or just loose. Good Luck.
