Tahoes are popular with law enforcement and i was browsing through a parts catalog and saw "police" brake pads listed, They were not the cheap ones with out warranties and they were not the most expensive like brembo brake pads, cost wise they were kinda right in the middle.

Is there any difference in these "police" break pads vs stock or brembo pads?

Suspect designed to quickly get rid of heat.

    Probably wear out faster.

True, I was hoping for more details on what the pads are rated for.

I had a pair installed on my 03 Tahoe LT, Great stopping power at the price of the rotors but if that's the app. you need it for they work great and last, longer the the rotor. Having said that I had a sick son, we moved close to the Hospital and I changed over to the police pads so I could speed to the hospital and have brakes that would bring that 6800 Lbs to a quick stop. Just my two cents.
