You have a 3/4 Ton 4wd Truck that has 102K miles on it....and you mentioned above that you Floor it and it Chokes Down Really Bad......Yet you stated that your Very Easy on your Truck and Never over about 2,500 RPM's??.....

What Engine....Gears.....Size Rims/Tires do you have on the truck Now??.....and what kind of maintenance have you done to the truck......like New Plugs/Wires....Filter's Air/Fuel??......and do you have any Performance Mods installed on the Truck.....CAI....Headers etc....

When you're trying to burn out, are you power braking it?

Well the big question is the check engine light on??? if so what codes.. also when was the last time you did a tune up? (plugs wires cap rotor?) and what type of plugs are you running in the engine?

well i just got the truck not to long ago think november so really havent done any of the plugs and things you mentioned.theres no light.thought it might be my timing but that would have thrown a code if it was,its really wierd how it runs it will run perfect of you accelerate easy but if you try to give it a decent amoutn of throttle like passing or getting on the highway it boggs down you can back out of it and get back in it and it will go.so not sure what to think

Take a look into the intake, and see if you smell raw gas.... if you do then chances are your Fuel Pressure Regulator is shot. Also if you havent done a tune up then it is deifnately time. and put in a good set of AC plugs. since the need for good plugs and actually a new cap and rotor will cause the symptoms that you are talking about. Also while you are doing the tune up i would take the time to remove the throttle body and clean it up really good with throttle body cleaner.

ok well that sounds like a good start.i know that i put AC Delco plugs in my other truck when i did the cap and rotor and it made a huge difference in performance.well wouldnt the fuel pressure regulater cause it to have a change in fuel pressure? In my other truck which is a 96 i had to change that regulator b/c it ran terrible.
