I'm Pat: a 63 year old retired corrections officer in hawaii trying to replace the power steering pump on my 99 CK1500 4WD Z-71.

I have a remanufactured pump with the EVO valve assembly, but the high pressure manifold and EVO solenoid connector need to be rotated before I can install.

QUESTION: Where do I place the wrenches, and upon what do I exert force, to remove the EVO assembly from the back of a power steering pump reservoir?

I don't want to force it the wrong way and maybe break something.

I have it apart now and I need the truck for transportation so I hope someone will answer soon. Please help oif you have experience disassembling EVO-equipped Chevy truck power steering pumps. Thank you!
