My mom who is 41 years old has been having issues for the past month and a half. She was having swelling in her legs and feet, didn't know why. Then she started having issues breathing, thinking it was her asthma. She went to the immediate care and they gave her a breathing treatment for her asthma and told her, her swelling was due to ibprofin. I called bs and told her she needed to see someone else. She went to our family doctor 2 days ago and they ran 2 ekg tests on her both came back irregular. They sent her to their hospital for them to test her yesterday and all they did was draw blood. She went back today to get an ekg done and it showed her as having a weak heart muscle and the heart is only pumping out 10% of what it should. She has fluid around her heart and in her right lung. She has blood clots in her lower left side of the heart. As of right now they say its a pretty serious thing and are diagnosing her right now with congestive heart failure. They have transfered her to a heart hospital where they have her in the heart failure section. They are giving her lasik pills for the fluids and it has helped, her swelling has gone down. They are putting her on blood thinners the keep more blood clots from occuring. They are not sure right now what is causing all of it. In the morning they are sending the heart failure specialist team to her to try and figure out what they can do and what is really wrong. I will keep updated when I find anything out. At the moment I don't think they are really going to do anything til probably Monday bacause they want to see if the lasik pills will get rid of the fluids and make her heart strengthen back.
