    HI folks,
New to site and have a problem. This morning I started to work and while driving down the road I had a warning bell sound and a message on gage panel that read "low oil pressure". I pulled over, shut down the engin and checked oil. Every thing was fine so I started the motor up and gage showed 80 PSI of pressure. Normal is about 45 to 50 PSI when warm and running down the road at high way speed. The gage then went back to 0 then back to 80 then to 0 again. Motor is running at idle with no noise or rattle as if not being oiled as normal. This is on a 2006 GMC SIERRA 6.0 gas with 167,000 miles highway use and very carefully maintained. MOBILE syncthetic oil and GM filters always. Any suggestions would be helpful.
    Thanks

    Hi Everone,
Changed out the oil pressure sending unit at top rear of motor and problem is solved.
Thanks for letting me ask my question even if I fixed the problem prior to any responce
    from any one.
