Truxedo Lo Pro QT Tonneau Cover

Did a lot of "soul searching" for this purchase. A little more research went in to this one, because I was all ready to buy a hard cover. But one thing that I kept finding was references to the quality of the Truxedo Lo Pro QT roll-up cover. I tried a few times to talk myself in to something other than a soft tonneau, but to no avail! I went today and picked up the Lo Pro QT with no regrets!

Here are a few of the key features that sold me:
    • Installed height is less than 1" above bed rails
    • Automatic tensioning system
    • Lifetime Warranty on structure AND fabric (original purchaser)
    • Low cost...I found it local for $375. It can be found a little cheaper on internet.
    • REAL easy to install (I hope!) UPDATE: It was!!
Everything I've read says it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to install. I am going to try to find a some time tomorrow to do it. I will post some pictures.

Here's a link to the Truxedo webpage for the Lo Pro QT.... http://www.truxedo.com/lopro/land.php

Got to work early this morning. Gave myself an hour to install and all it took was 25 minutes, and that included gathering the tools, and opening the box. The cover was tensioned perfect right out of the box. The guy that sold it to me said that he installs several of the Lo Pro QT covers a month and he has never once had to adjust tension. The only adjustment that I made was to shift the fabric a little to the passenger side so the edges were even on both sides running down the bedrails. I'll try to take some pics tonight when I get home! :glasses:

Unfortunately, Ihad to travel for work this weekend and I didn't get a chance to take any pictures, but this cover doesn't cover any of the bed rails at all. Are you talking about the chrome bars that you bolt on top of the bed rails or the plastic bed rail covers?. This cover should work fine with either one.

As I mentioned above, I had to travel for work this weekend. Flew back in town today to a winter wonderland! So forgive the nasty truck. Charlotte tends to go a little overboard when laying down the salt!!

Like I said, installation was a breeze. This pictures shows one side with the 3 clamps holding the side rail to the truck's bedrail...

The cover has a real simple latch system. It also has a Velcro system that "floats" fore and aft as part of the automatic tensioning...

The Lo Pro QT comes with very good system for sealing at the front and rear of the bed. This picture shows the tailgate rubber strip seal. The one at the cab is similar....

What I really love about the cover is it's low profile appearance...

    AGAIN...sorry for the filthy truck!!:gasp:

Well If you think that's dirty you should see my S-10, it was dark blue but it is Summit White now! You should take this as a major compliment, because I am not a fan of normal covers normally. That has to be one of the nicest that I have seen, and it is very taunt and tight although it is brand new. I would be curious to see how it holds up after a few winters, at any rate I think it looks real good with your spray in bed liner. Keep up the great work!

BTW- I noticed you are doing all of the "necessities" mods which is smart, BUT when are you going to get to the fun stuff? :sign0020:
