rear end swap info

    i asked maybe in the wrong forum so here it is again. i have a 2000 serria 1500 with a bad rear end ' found one in a 2000 yukon . but was told it would not fit . can someone please tell me the difference? i know the tarck width is the same . is it the spring or shock mounts? please help thank you.

    The track width may be the same but the axle housing could be different, 4x2 s-10's were 4" shorter overall than the 4x4's and the wheel backspacing was vastly different [2" on each side] giving them the same track...
