I have a 98 k1500 Z71 and I'm wondering why when I turn my truck off and I still have my headlights on I dont hear a beeping sound to remind me to turn my lights off. I would like to find why I don't have that beeping sound...

It may have been disabled or maybe a bad fuse? Do the other chimes work...not sure if that year had a seatbelt reminder...or cab light left on.

I wonder what the fuse is even called for that? I can check but I'm not sure.

my 95 had a little black box that snapped in under the dash that had the chime in it. i unhooked mine and through it away. you may look under the steering wheel and look for a little black box with a speaker looking grill on the side of it. not sure if the 98 would be the same as my 95
