    After Market Remote Starters

Speaking of remote starters, can a few of you post your successful/not so successful stories on what remote starters work and don't? I'm most interested in knowing if any of them mess with the vehicles custom settings (DIC), etc., associated with the keyless FOBs.

I'm interested in a 2-way starter only, not the keyless entry combo type. I just want to use my regular keyless FOB with a remote starter.
    Thanks!

Good idea, Stinger. You may just want to start a new thread for this so that the information can be more on topic and easier to find.

Are you talking the "service parts list" sticker in the glove compartment? If so, I didn't see the AP8 code as one of the listed codes.

It is a small sticker (about 3" x 4") with a ton of 3 digit codes. Mine is on the side of the glove box closet to the passenger door. Or, you can enter you vin though the link below and it should comeback with your RPO codes as well.

Unfortunately, that AP8 code is not one listed. Ive got a call into my local Chevy dealer to confirm it's not compatible. Thanks.

does anyone have those advanced 2 way remotes? is it worth to go with the basic factory remote start for 195.00 or spend the extra 55 for the 2 way. My trucks has the dl8 code, i'm interested in doing this. Has anyone followed through and did the dealership charge for programming?
