    To add the....Factory Remote Start.....Look and See if you have RPO Code "AP8" on the Service Parts I.D. Tag (White Sticker) Inside Your Glove Box.......If you do see RPO Code"AP8".......then you have the Factory Remote Starter Prep-Package.

    You then Would buy from either G.M. Accessory Web Site or your Local G.M./Chevy Dealer.......the Factory Remote Starter System, The Kit Includes Two Remote Fobs and an Unlock
    Authorization
    Security Code that the Dealer Needs when they call G.M.......THIS SYSTEM MUST BE PROGRAMMED BY YOUR Local G.M./Chevy Dealer.....Once the programing is done....you would have the Factory Remote Start.

    Edit: The above information is for......The Factory Remote Start....for the.....2007" To 2013" GMT-900 Series NNBS Trucks/SUV's......There is No Factory Remote Start for the 1999" to 07" GMT-800 NBS Trucks.



    Edit.....The Pricing Above, Is from Nov. 2010".....So the Cost of the Factory Remote Starter System, has Most Likely Gone up, over this period of Time.

    Are you talking the "service parts list" sticker in the glove compartment? If so, I didn't see the AP8 code as one of the listed codes.

    It is a small sticker (about 3" x 4") with a ton of 3 digit codes. Mine is on the side of the glove box closet to the passenger door. Or, you can enter you vin though the link below and it should comeback with your RPO codes as well.

    Unfortunately, that AP8 code is not one listed. Ive got a call into my local Chevy dealer to confirm it's not compatible. Thanks.

    Yes.....the RPO Code's on the......SPID Label in the Glovebox.

    does anyone have those advanced 2 way remotes? is it worth to go with the basic factory remote start for 195.00 or spend the extra 55 for the 2 way. My trucks has the dl8 code, i'm interested in doing this. Has anyone followed through and did the dealership charge for programming?

    Did you mean to type....RPO Code AP8.....instead of....dl8...??
