removing rear axle seals

    Hi .My name is Bob and I tried to introduce myself but couldnt get through? Anyway nice site.I am working on my 1998 Chevy 4x4 1/2 ton Silverado and need help in removing and replacing rear axle seals . Photos or video would be great .Thanks in advance .

    You need to pull the cover off the rear end. Pull the pin and bolt out of the gears, remove the c-clips theat hold the axles in place then pull the axles. Get a seal puller to pull the seals out
  3. hi just thought i would add you have to push the axes in to get the c clip out most of the time.
