repainting old rims

    i have a set of old rally wheels im putting on a 97 chevy whats the best way to get them lookin good i want to paint them black.

    If they were previously painted, Sand Blast them.

    You can get a cheap kit from Sears or Harbor Frieght.

    Otherwise, if they were chromed, scuff up the surface with 120 grit sandpaper.

    Be sure to put on several light coats of paint, then two coats of clear.

    How about having them powder coated black.

    Powder coating would definately be the most durable.

    I agree... And you have a wide aray of available colors that wont get beat up to easly..

    YEP, i would get them powder coated..they also sand blast them for ya..and u never have a problem ,,ok. maybe not never but at least for a very long
