Replaced the steering column and now truck won't stay running??

    I replaced the steering column on my 2001 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 and now it won't stay running. It just starts and then dies.

    Any ideas?

    a random guess from left field would be the ignition cylinder in one capacity or another. The first thing that comes to mind is PASSLOCK. The ignition and key may have to be learned or re-learned to the ECM. It may be doing a self-defense against someone stealing it. Give that a shot. It's either that or loose wiring that may be affected by heat, ie the motor heating up...
