I think ive decided to put the D60 rear end from my old F250 under the K5. It currently has 4.56 gears but I dont know if thats big enough to handle my 39.5x15 tires.anybody got any input on this?

Dylan, your 39.5" tires are off the scale on my slide rule, but with 4:56 gears at 3,000 RPMs you'd be doing 80MPH in a 1 to 1 ratio high gear (no overdrive gear involved)
Is that what you're looking for?

    **also
    2670 RPMs @ 70MPH
    2250 RPMs @ 60MPH
