I just bought a 2011 GMC Seira 2500 HD, it has the factory 6 cd changer, but didn't come with the satalite radio module, I would like to get one, does anyone know if you can just buy the module and install it? would all the wiring be plug and play? would this even work?? Does it hook into the same antenna as the one already there for the onstar?

Will it work up where you are in Canada?

I didn't know the 2011 came without sat radio. My previous '05 Envoy came without, the XM receiver and cables could be purchased as a kit from GM. The module mounted on the knee bolster below the glove box door. And yes, the OnStar shark's fin could be used for both.

A quick google might find the location in the 2011 trucks.
