i have a 1990 silverado, and it ran fine until today. it seems to have a hard time shifting from first to second under25 mph. i was wondering what would cause this and why. i have some opinions but they all are different.

I would drop the tranny pan and see if there are any metal or clutch pieces in the pan. If its clean try some Lucas oil transmissom fix. If you have a internal valve sticking from varnish build up this can unstick the valve.
