I am looking to replace the shocks on my 99 K1500. I am buying a 2" lift/level kit soon, and want some longer shocks to go with it. I am a fan of Rancho shocks, but I am open to suggestions for better. Whats the difference between gas and hydraulic ones? Is it worth the price difference? What do I look for in a shock? Any input is helpful, thanks in advance!

Rancho has new shocks for leveled trucks. I'd go with the gas shock.

Many people swear by Bilstein but Ranchos are great for the price.

I just put on a set of Bilsteins and i am really happy with them. They really improved the ride and are worth the extra money. I put on the HDs but they make the 5100 series for lifted trucks. I would recommend them to anybody.
