I have a little bit of slack in my steering wheel...is this normal, or a sign of a problem?? Anyone else experience this on their Sierra or Silverado? I have an '02.

Mike, before we write off his steering box, might not we have a look at his steering link bushings? Rob said he has a "little bit of slack" in his steering wheel. Does that mean his wheel is loose in the box in a static situation, or there's a little bit of slack in the system while underway? I've had new bushings cure a little bit of slack in the system -- makes old truck's steering feel new, again.
