Spark Plugs?

I changed the spark plugs in my 04 Sierra with a 5.3 70000. I put autolite platinums in it but originals were Iridiums. I didnt realize it took Iridiums untill looking at them after changing all of them.

Anyone see any problems with this? Or should it be fine?

    Thanks!

There are a few reasons manufacturers are switching to Iridium from platinum,

Longer Service life, less load on the ignition system, and more efficient combustion.

You may see a decrease in economy, though it will be small. Iridium is much harder than platinum, and has a much higher melting point. That means the platinum plugs aren't going to last nearly as long as the Iridiums.
I've heard opinions concerning the smaller Iridium electrode in reference to "Hot Spots" in the combustion chamber. Smaller hot spots are less prone to detonation. That means your computer may be able to carry a bit more timing. Therefore potentially even better economy and power running Iridium plugs.

Platinum plugs were the top of the line for a long time, and will work very well. Your not going to damage anything by running them unless you have a weak ignition.
