In the rear of my 2002 Suburban, there is a round large (like about 6") speaker cutout (underneath the plastic panel), in the far rear of the truck, it looks like it is only on the drivers side, any idea what goes in there, was that for a factory subwoofer?

My 03 yukon xl has the same thing. It has the bose system and there is nothing in mine either. I thought that the previous owner took something out of there but, that fact that yours is empty also has me feeling better.

I wonder if the trucks with the bose system have nothing in there.

I wondering if it is wired for it, but just not installed with the package.

I dig around in there a little. There is some sound deadening mat, but I did not feel or see any wires for mine with the bose system. I was told that the bose sub is put inside or under the center counsel. I have not had the truck long enough to investigate.
