My brakes only squeal after ive been down a dirt road for a little bit but its annoying as hell. i changed all my pads and its still really bad but only on dirt roads. guy at the parts store told me only way to get rid of this is new rotors as the ones chevy uses are garbage. is this true and if so what ones should i get on the cheap? it wouldnt be such a big deal but my ranch is on the end of a 12 mile dirt road:neutral:

It is the accumulation of dirt on the pads that causes the squeal.. Mabey take a look at your Dust protectors surounding your Front Rotors and clean out the Drums on the back by simply pulling the cover and spraying everything down with some brake cleaner...

Yeah it is getting inbetween the pads and rotors.. A decent set of new Rotors should help some though since the added thickness and lack of deeper grooves will help to push the dust out faster.. I thought your truck was a 1998?? guess i was wrong...
