steering sector/joint

  1. I have a 99 half ton silverado. Is there any way I can fix the recall that has to two with a knocking noise when I hit bumps coming from my steering shaft somewhere.

If it is a recall item why do you want to fix it yourself?

I’m not sure you are supposed to do this yourself, they need to fix it and verify it in their records.

But I may be wrong, I think I was once.

  3. This warranty is only covered if you are the original owner, there are alot of these recalls out there, im up on my recalls.

    Recall or TBI's

If it is a RECALL it doesn’t matter if you are the original owner or not, you will be notified by mail when you can bring it in.

If it is a TBI Technical Service Bulletin the you are on your own.

Recalls cover any and all owners for as long as the vehicle is on the road. They go by vehicle registrations by state.

    Check here.

  5. It is then most definately a TBI then. Some rumors need to be cleared up then, cause ive been told numerous times about recalls as they called it that are not covered unless your the original owner. Thanks
