My company just leased me a new 2011 1500 Chevy truck. Seems they were too cheap to pay for the controls on the steering wheel for the radio!! Anyone know if the wiring is in the column for the controls? Do I just need a new steering wheel or can I get the controller and mount it on the wheel?

You'll need a new wheel with the redundant audio control switch and cruise control switch. It's plug-and-play, as far as installation goes. Finding a used one may be difficult. Plenty of new ones, but around $150. Check with Schram Auto Parts dot com, or ebuy.
