My beloved K1500 Suburban quit on me today. Well, it didn't actually quit running, but the transmission started slipping so badly that I couldn't make the top of a small hill. I called for a wrecker, and waited. After being parked for a couple of hours it was revived enough to drive up on to the flatbed wrecker. I assumed it was time for a rebuild so I sent it to a local transmission shop. The vehicle has 201,000 miles on it. The rebuilder is reputable, so I am not that worried about the results, but is there anything I should be aware of for this rebuild? Any parts that I need to make sure get replaced? Suggestions?
