    Hello,

I have a 1996 Chevy Silverado extended cab, I want to mount a subwoofer in the back on the hump, is there any wiring or anything else I should be careful to avoid?

    Thanks,
    Zach

    Whereever it fits

    Hi, Zach:

If the enclosure you use will fit where you are describing, sure, you can put it there. Placement of a sub woofer is personal choice, usually governed by space and personal desires for where you want it. It produces only very low frequency and is not directional like your higher frequency drivers.

So you want to mount it facing down? Then can give you a nice deep bass sound. As long as you have the right air space for the sub. You can also build a box with a large port under the rear seat..

The only draw back to that would be that your limiting yourself to what you can put there due to air space.
