i'm thinking about getting an after market tach for my 86 chevy 305. can anyone tell me how hard or easy this will be to install? or if you have a tip that would be awesome!

No worries on the tach wireing. You will get instructions with your tach, & they are really easy for '80's vehicles as they are only 3 wires. One to the - negative side of the coil, one to ground, and one for the light that you will hook to the rheostat on your dash lights.

On your distributor cap, there's even a terminal just for a tach. :)
