Hi all, I recently purchased a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. We had a major tire blow out the other day. Fortunately we were in the woods and not on the freeway. We had a heck of a time with the spare tire hoist. After taking it to the shop to get new tires the mechanic and i had trouble reeling the spare wheel back and we stripped the hoist and never got the tire back up. We ended up having to cut the cable just to get the wheel off. Does anyone know where i can get a heavier duty hoist that would fit on the Tahoe? It looks like i can pick up an OEM for about $75.00 but they're worthless and i'd hate to go through this routine again. Thanks for the help.
