I'm trying to remove the tailgate latch from my '04 Colorado, and can't see how to do it. Has anyone ever done this and can they let me know how. I'm afraid my Rhino liner is covering an access panel.

i put the handle on the inside. i think if you unbolt the handle and unhook the linageyou should be able to get it out by taking the other 2 bolts out. if you are talking about the handle it just unbolts 4 bolts. hope this helps

yeah most likely the rhino liner is a problem but if you can run a razor lade around the access panel and uncover the screws should be fine but you need to get in there to take off the handle....
