Hey guys my name is rich.... it actually kinda hard to find a good group of people to talk to about thing you want to do with your truck with people saying well that wont work...... yea i was brought up with the idea of if you have a hammer and a cutting torch anything you can dream of is possible it just might cost a little more than you thought it might  any who i have an old 88 r20 that i want to convert to a diesel with one of the newer duramax engines and convert it to a 4x4 (a lot......A LOT of work i know) but i have been told that it is possible i just need to get the parts i also would like to put the big "F-U" bumpers on the front and back, winch lots of lights all that good stuff........ i just figured i would let you guys know my evil plans because that is what we are all here for....... :glasses:

Welcome aboard... And it will cost you a lot less money if you get a duramax donor truck with wiring included.

There was just a totaled one (2010) with 32K for $9000 (on my local craigslist)... If you can get one from an insurance place since you dont need the body just the drivetrain and wiring etc.. and it might be nice to have those new seats as well..
