does anyone here know how to slightly tint their taillights? not enough to get pulled over all the time but dark enough to notice. kinda like the truck on chschevy58's photo album. dont know how to pull the image to here but check it out if you have the time they look real nice.

If you're looking to just slightly tint your tail lights, there's this stuff called VHT Nightsahde,it comes in a rattle can and you can find at most auto parts stores (Pep Boys, Autozone, etc....) Just clean your tail lights of dirt & grime and spray it on.

I took my tail lights to a a local paint shop and had them done. They dropped a few drops of black in to the clear and sprayed them.

The only way I have seen it done is the rattle can, you can build up the layers if you want it darker.

Youtube it, some videos shown hows it done. Or you buy the plastic tint covers ... but those aren't supposed to be used during the day time ...

Spray it lightly with the night shade ,after you ruff them a little with sand paper , if you get them too dark , a little gasoline on a rag will clean them off for a fresh start , after you get them at the right shade ,clearcoat them a few times ,I've done this before on another truck ......turned out great.Good luck.
