I searched pretty hard and could not specifically find what i was looking for...

My 07 silverado takes the stock 265/65/18 tire. It is a bit of an odball according to the guy at the shop...what comes into play if I go with the 275 width rather than 265? There are many more options in that size. I know OEM is there for a reason but how much diff does that 275 make? Thanks :)

the 265 has a width of 10.4 inches and a section height of 6.8 inches and the 275 have a width of 10.8 inches ans section height of 7 inches, so not much difference, i went from a 265/70r17 to a 285/70r17 just fine. i got all this info from http://4lo.com/calc/gearmetric.htm
