    Hello everyone,
i just bought a 2008 chevy silverado 1500 and it has the stock 18 inch wheels on it right now but it's going to need tires pretty soon. So I decided that I am going to go with new rim and tires as a package. What I need to no is how big can I go tire wise and I'd like to go with either 18 or 16 inch rims because I found a set I like and they only come in those sizes. I don't really want to lift it but if it comes down to it I will.

I have never seen a 16" rim on the NNBS trucks before so I can't say weather they would actually clear the brakes or not. I run 18" rims with a 285/65 all terrain tire on a leveled truck and they fit. I think its like 32.6" tire or something like that.

16" don't clear brake calipers on the new trucks, 17 is the smallest

Ohh really? What size level do you have? 285s are about what I want and thanks for the help!

I'm running the Rough Country 2" level kit. My rims have a backspace of 5.5" as well. I had to remove the factory front mud flaps because the tire touched it but it's been all good since. I have been considering their 3.5" kit or even finding a 4" lift. But for a nice look, the 2" level with my tire and wheel combo do a great job. I get complements and I even had one guy talk to me for 30 min in a Costco parking lot about my setup lol
