Alright so im just curious about others opinions before i buy. I have a 97 short bed gmc k1500 with a 4.3 vortec. i just started working steady again (landscaping sucks in the winter time :p) and im in dire need of tires. i have 265's on it now but im aiming to go for 285 75 16's and the tires i want to get are the general grabber AT2's. im just curious about opinions on these tires for daily driven use and for off road use before i spend 700 on them. also i am going to lift the truck 3 inches and level the front with the back, im looking at the rough country suspension lift kit with the nitro 9000 shocks, any opinions on this kit? and would the RC 1.5'' wheel spacers be too much for those tires? sorry for all of the questions just want to make sure im headed in the correct direction as this is the first truck i have owned / modded :) thanks alot everyone for all the help thus far. i cant wait until i can start helping everyone else as everyone has helped me! thanks -Jon

I haven't used the general grabber AT2's before but they should get the job done. The rough country lift will work, just know this: some users on this site and many other forums have had issues with the quality of Rough Country's products, just to give you a heads up. The wheel spacers should be good w/ 3" of lift but don't quote me on that.

I talked to the store manager at 4 wheel parts store here in Raleigh about the General tires. He has them on his daily driven jeep and loves them. His are 33's I think. He said they have low noise and have a long life. Those are one of two brands I am debating on for my new tires. I just put king shock level coil overs on my 11' 1500 sierra. It is on the high price side, but I would recommend them highly.
