It probably starting on the 2012 models since the owners manual would have been more easily updated and perhaps thousands of manuals and valves in stock on 2011 models. But is the change a TPM sensor or software only update? I quit don't buy the reason that there were too many stray signals in the service shop. I would guess that in a tire shops where two or three vehicles could be worked on at the same time. It is possible that when a vehicle is in learn mode and another vehicle tire gets deflated or inflated on the tire machine, then it can pick up the wrong sensor code.
