Track Bar

I disconnected the left bolt on the rear track bar on my 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71 so that I'd have easier access to the differential case (replaced the carrier bearings and wheel bearings). Anyway, while putting it back together, I noticed the rear had separated almost an inch so that getting the bolt back through the bushing was going to be very difficult. I'd had the truck up on two jacks - one placed under each rear axle adjacent to the wheel so I suppose that helped to spread the rear apart. I 've now put a floor jack under the differential hoping the wheels on the outside would help pull the outside back together.

Does anyone have any clue how this is suppose to be done?

I use a ratching hold down strap to pull the axle back where it needs to be.
