I would like a tranny temp gauge. There is a blank on the lower left side of cluster, would it go there ? Would I need a whole new cluster? Is the wiring in the harness? Where could I order what I need ?
    Thanks, Mike

Yes you can get a Dash Cluster that has the Transmission Gauge......the 99" to 07" GMT-800 NBS Silverado/Sierra's 1/2 Ton's were/are Pre-Wired from the Factory for the Trans Temp Gauge,

You can Buy an Escalade or Denali Dash Cluster, as they come from the Factory with the Transmission Temp Gauge in their Dash Cluster's, and the Best place/pricing is on E-Bay.

One last note is that if you do get a New Cluster it will need to be Reprogrammed for the Current Mileage on your Truck.

Is it possible to add just the gauge ? Also is there a sending unit to add to the tranny?

Does the dealer reprogram the mileage? Do you take it to them pre-install or after its in?

Some Dealers will Re-Program for the Mileage, and Some Won't.....

I had mind Programmed at a Local Speed Shop....There are a few Company's on the E-Bay, that do the Re-Programming.

Is all you need is the gauge?

Im looking at adding the gauge out of a denali to my silverado since its got the transmission temp gauge plus the speedometer goes up to 120. Other then having to get the mileage programmed will the temp gauge and the speedo go up to 120 ?(temp gauge is accurate and the gauge will go past 100?)

You are only Programming the Cluster for the Mileage, it has no effect on the Gauge's. The Transmission Temp will give you a Accurate Reading as will the Speedometer.

I had no idea Denali's and Escalades had trans temp gauges. I have to assume that if your rig didn't come with it, you will have to add the sending unit. Why in the hell would they installl the sending unit and not the gauge? Just my 2 cents.

When the 99" to 07"s GMT-800 NBS 1/2 Ton Silverado's and Sierra's came out, I was told that you could only get the Trans Temp Gauge on the 3/4 2500 Series Trucks.....But they were all Pre-Wired from the Factory for Trans Temp Gauge, and as to Why Chevy did it this way....I Don't Know....

My 01 Bonneville cluster has a chip or module for the mileage and such that you just swap out. Is the chevy the same way?
