hi , i have a 03 Z71 silverado , i had a tranny fluid leak coming from were the transfercase and the tranny meet , had that fixed at the dealership i got it from that was about 2 months ago , took it for an oil change today and asked them to check the tranny cuz the fluid was low and i noticed a few small drops on the driveway
, there is a leak and its coming from exactly were it was before , any ideas what could be causing this leak ? could they have been bad seals put in when replaced ?
    thanks Amy

that could be the seal or the gasket. i know alot of ppl who got there trannys built and the gaskets from the dealerships were bad.

More information. How many miles have you driven it since the last work was done? I can't tell from the photos, but that's transmission fluid, what's the color on it? Does it smell at all?

you try some transmission sealer/stop leak ?

I used to use transmedic for keeping the seals in good condition. I always added this 3 months prior to replacing the fluid and filter when I used dexron III years ago.

I have not used dexron III in 14years. did have to use this in the transfercase of a 1994 s10 4x4 worked great stopped the leak. don't need alot just add afew ounces.
