Went to drive the hoe to work today. Pulled it out of the garage to dust her off, and as I was walking into the garage to get the duster, I find red fluid on the gargae floor. Squeezing my head between the frame and concrete floor, I see tranny fluid covering the knuckle that connects the rear of the tranny to the drive line.

I guess its safe to say the rear seal needs replacing ? No leaks anywere else but the knuckle.

Take a close look to see if the seal is leaking or if the fluid is coming out of the center of the yoke. If there is a hole in the center of the yoke and fluid coming out there then you need to replace the o ring which requires removing the tail shaft housing. If there is no hole there then the rear seal is leaking.
