1999 K1500.....replaced plugs, wires, cap & rotor....engine starts after 2 or 3 attempts. Any ideas what else I can do to improve starting?

    Thanks,

What constitutes an attempt? 2 or 3 seconds a try or 5 to 10 second a try? when you turn the ignition on are you able to he the fuel pump run for a few seconds? I believe the computer turns on the fuel pump relay initialy, for it to continue to opperate it needs to see the engine cam/crank sensor being triggered. You may not have enough fuel pressure at start to fire it.
