03 Silverado K1500 reg cab long bed - 4.8 4x4 - auto trans - OEM size tires - no mods at the moment.
I run synthetic fluids in the crankcase, diffs, and transfer case. Stock fluid in the trans. 87 octane fuel.
    87k miles.
50/50 I live in city, but take freeway everywhere.

I just verified via 3 150+mile calculations that I am getting 15.9 mpg.

I am planning fuel filter, tranny fluid (synth) and filter, CAI, catback, and diablo tuner in the next 3 months to improve HP and MPG. Will post results as they come in.

Truck: 2007 NBS Silverado 1500, Extended Cab 6' bed. 5.3l steel block (LY5, 'J' VIN) V8 with Active Fuel Management.
Upgrades: Synthetic oils. Spray On Bedliner. 3/4 ton truck 10 ply tires. I keep as little weight in as possible and don't accelerate too hard, nor do I speed.
MPG: 18.9 max, 17.5 avg, 13.1 min with 2/3 of the time on the interstate at 75mph. Calculated by miles driven divided by gallons pumped to a full tank. Most of the time I buy from Shell

Just filled up yesterday and made 26.9 mpg. This is down from the same period last year when I made 27.1 mpg. And this is my first tank on my newly reprogrammed (for economy) ECU. 95% rural driving and 5 % highway.

    07 Sierra Classic, 4.3 L. 5 spd. M/T
Tires inflated to sidewall max. pressure, skip shifting from 3rd to 5th when practical,
MSD Coil, under drive pulleys, headers, cat-back exhaust, Taylor plug wires, stock plugs, K&N FIPK, ScanGuageII, hypermiling driving techniques, Vararam TB insert, tonno cover. ECU tuned for economy.
