I was wondering what all parts off a 350(internal engine parts, headers, etc.) would be compatible or fit my 2004 chevy silverado 1500 with the 4.8l v8 engine...the reason i am asking is my sister-in-law's dad is parting out an old truck with a like new 350 with all; (elderbrock, holley, and other top of the line parts) as far as internal engine and all the engine components and can get ahold of them cheap since he needs money fast!

    make that a 5.3L v8 which is a 323 i believe because i am going to swap the 4.8l to a 5.3l engine!

I don't think any parts of the 350 are compatible with the 4.8, or the 5.3 (these engines are the same, the 5.3 is just a stroked 4.8).

Absolutly nothing in those engines are interchangeable. The new LS, and LS style engines are a completly different design from the older ones.
