Can anybody tell me what the valve cover bolts has for torque?
The books say 3 ft.nm but I have a torque key with Nm and Ft-Lb?
    Many thanks and God Bless

Hey Ton, my book shows 50 inch pounds of torque for the 454 valve cover bolts, so that would be 4.166 foot pounds on your wrench.

In case you need them & can't find them here are some other torque specs for your 454
Cylinder head bolts... 80 ft lbs
    Intake manifold........ 30 ft lbs
    Exhaust manifolds..... 20 ft lbs
Rocker arm studs ..... 50 ft lbs
    Main bearing caps....110 ft lbs
    Connecting rods....... 50 ft lbs
    Flywheel bolts.......... 65 ft lbs
    Harmonic balancer.... 85 ft lbs
    Spark plugs............. 15 ft lbs
