Vibration problem

    I've got a vibration that starts at 55mph and it will max out at 65mph, at 66mph it quits.
    This is a 2500HD 4X4, 6.0L gas. The transfer casing went out at 86K, had it changed out. Went out again 5K later, said I had a bent drive line, changed it out. Now the vibration is bad. The company that sold me the transfer casing now claims it is not the transfer casing causing the problem. Wheel bearings check out, new drive line.
    Got any ideas?

    Warped rotors or tires out of balance

    Do you have aftermarket rims?

    Rotors good, checked tire balance. stock wheels. I think it may be from tranny to transfer casing. Have had a slight vibration at certain speeds since it was new. I like the truck, but it's had its problems. Speedo cluster went out @30K, and the vibrations. This drive train may have missed the QC at the factory. Who knows it might be a bad rear axle.

    Does it do the same thing in 4 wheel high as in 2WD?

    I would also try putting front wheels to back and back to front and try it out.

    Also is it an rpm thing or speeds thing? Try running it in third, and see if the vibration appears at the same speed. If it's a speed thing, it's tires, wheels, rotors, etc. If it's an rpm thing, it's drive shaft, transfer case, axle, etc.

    I really think its a speed thing, cause it is a smooth rider at any speed over 66mph.

    Had the same problem twice with our 2000 silverado. First time was a cracked rear driveshaft (thankfully before warranty expired) and second time was u-joints in the rear. Would start vibrating at 50-55mph and smooth out at high speeds on the highway.
    My old K5 Blazer had bad vibe one time at anything over 45mph and it was due to drivetrain angle. It had a 4" lift and had to get custom driveshaft, adjust rear axle angle, and lower transfer case. But that vibration got worse the faster you went.

    My 2004 Silvy had the same kind of vibration, at the same speeds, and it turned out being wheel hubs.We lifted the front end and you could see the wheels kind of toe inward, and there was play in the hub. Pulled it out and it was shot...
