I have been doing some research for future mods lately. I have gone to a few VIN decoder sites for general info for my truck. What I have come across is the info that my VIN shows is incorrect. According to my VIN I have a 4 speed tranny. Well mine is a 6 speed. The glove box paint code is incorrect also. How many of you have come across this issue? What is the cause of this? I ask these questions because I hate to look like I don't know something when in fact I am going off of the info provided.

Hmmmm, you have the M30 code instead of the MYC code on the glove box label?

On the label in the glove box says MYC. Is the MYC the code for a 6 speed?

Yes, the 6 speed light duty auto.
