Hello guys, my name is Brennan and I am new to this forum. I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 with an L33 5.3L. Recently I have noticed this weird noise after my truck is warmed up and driven for about 20 minutes. It is coming from the front of the truck and it sounds like if you were to but your finger into a fan and stop it. It also sounds like a tire rubbing a wheel well. Im not sure what is causing this but it goes away when I reach speeds of 15mph and up. I know it's not my tires because it happens when im driving straight aswell, and I only have 265s on there anyhow. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated, its left me baffled for over a week now.

Welcome to GMTC. A great place to share all things GM.

It helps if you provide as much info about your truck as possible. Yr, model, engine, trans, 4wd, mods etc.

Is the AC on or off when this happens? 4wd engaged or not? Does it happen in forward and reverse?

With just the info provided, I'd speculate on the ac clutch or the fan clutch.

Check out those two items and get back with us with what you find.

Well, I do have the AC off. And it has electric fans. It is in two wheel drive and as far as I know only in drive. The truck is stock besides a hypertech programmer and exhaust. Sorry for the insufficient info.
