Just curious what everyone did this last weekend? Anything coming up next weekend?
I worked my fricking rear off. And lemme tell you, it's HOT outside. From May 30 to last night I was up at the Boy Scout camp working the first week of camp. If I didn't have a real job in the real world, I think I'd still be there. But man, am I tired.
I had a busy weekend.
I cut down a large maple tree in my front yard and sectioned it for fire wood on Saturday.
Sunday I excavated and leveled the sides of my driveway 12" out on one side and 10' out on the other, formed it up, and prepped for a load of paving blocks that are due to arrive any minute now.
Tomorrow I'll be laying bricks around the side of the house and finishing a brick planter out front.
Wednesday I'm gonna change the oil and do maintenance on the bike and the boat.
Thursday I'll be on the lake all day.
My son brought over my latest Grandchildren. 5 year old boy and 9 month old girl. Enjoyed them and the air conditioner!
I worked all day Saturday then made some awesome Carne Asada on the grill. My Grandaughter spent the weekend so Sunday after mowing lawn, weed-eating, and shampooing the carpets, my Wife and I took the girls to see "Kung-Fu Panda".
I went to PA to my grandparents house and did some clean up yardwork for them outside. than did some more fishin when i had some time off

well, I went to water country water park on saturday, got sunburned, BBQ'd in the backyard, then went to the beach and had some drinks, ok, lots of drinks, passed out in the grass in my buddies backyard, woke up sunday morning dissoriented, went home, slept it off, then BBQ'd again with some friends sunday afternoon in the sweltering heat, all in all, not a bad weekend lol
I went down to Rock Springs and raced RC Cars. Nice and chilly with a rain/snow mix Saturday morning, highs in the mid-50s with 20-30mph winds. Here's a pic of my 2wd truck.
man those RC cars look pretty fun
Awesome. When I was a kid these batteries only lasted like 5 minutes, are they any better now?
There is a defunct RC track near where I used to live. It would be fun to buy that and resurrect it and turn it into an RC megatrack.
Completely different now. Most guys are running lipo batteries with brushless motors now. So upwards of 20 minute run times. Everybody uses 2.4Ghz so now frequency issues. Lots of changes in the last 5 years.
This race also had several nitro classes. In all, your average electric racer probably has about $500 into it per car. Your Nitro racer is upwards of $1200-$1500.
Fun stuff,great big boy toys.
Went camping for the first time this year. First weekend with my cast off in 3 weeks. SWWWWWEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT! Course I was at the camp site 20 mins and the water pump blew out on my camper. The same camper that I had brought to the dealership for 4 weeks and cost me $600 to fix. But I learned how to replace the pump in my camper.
We went camping.
I've got some more yardwork to do including some SOD laying and I might fix a fence post and my gate.
Start a thread with some RC cars and post more photos, those are pretty cool.
I got my hand chewed up by some fire ants over the weekend. Picked up some mulch that had been sitting in one spot for three weeks and there was a whole fire ant colony under there. They started moving like crazy carrying their eggs away and about 20 of them bit me on my hands. YIKES!
:grrrrrr: Fire Ants Must Die! :grrrrrr:
Time for a little flame thrower action, Search and Destroy style.
Installed the 2500HD rear leaf springs in my truck, with a little torsion bar crank to level it out, and was able to fit the 35's... Overall, a productive weekend.
went down to cape may, NJ for the weekend my sister got married. it was a great weekend down at the beach!
