what kind of fan do i have?

    when i was looking at CAI's this morning on autoanything.com they all ask if I have the mechanical fan or electrical fan. I have no idea what I have, if someone could help me out or tell me where to look that would be great.

    Open the hood and look at the fan. If it's on the engine it's mechanical and driven by a fan belt. If it's on the radiator and has an electric motor then it's electric.

    A clutch fan is attatched to the front of the motor and is driven off the motor it can be a metal flex fan or plastic.

    a electric fan has its own electric motor so there is no physical connection to the motor and has a plastic fan
