What line is it that goes to exhaust manifold-drivers side-98 Suburban?? Coolant or?

I have a stain-not really wet but a stain-around the base of a line that comes out-goes into my exhaust manifold (98 suburban 5.7 2wd).
It is on the drivers side almost on the firewall.
It looks like a coolant line, but I haven't really tracked it to where it comes from.
Any chance it is just some part of exhaust gas recycling? Doesn't really look like it, but??
I think I still have a coolant leak.
    Thanks

If it's a big metal hose with a heat fabric coating, it should go from the driver side exhaust manifold up to the upper intake. That's part of the EGR system. Sounds like it's leaking exhaust.
