I put 40 bags on mulch in the bed of my avy once. I think they were 40 lb bags. So 1600 lbs and it barely even squatted.

I used the van in my sig to tow a Ford F350 on a car dolly eighty miles one day. I was glad for the external trans cooler I had installed. The van shrugged off the load, and the next day, it showed no signs of trouble. Internally, I had to travel 750 miles with full camping gear, and a 55 gallon drum of diesel fuel in the back, after Katrina. I was supposed to deploy, but they cancelled me three times, so I took a trip up north to burn off the fuel. I'll never forget bedding down in the van, listening to the radio reports.

I moved in Feb. 6 miles up the road. Jacked up 6x8 chicken house, backed 4x8 wooden garden trailer under it and spaced the house off the bed with skids. Wrapped it all together with ratchet straps, towed it out of the woods with a sub-compact tractor and rolled it onto a 14' flatbed trailer. More straps and away we went. All with 30 plus chickens. I had not been getting many eggs til that day. I got 18 eggs. They must have liked the trip. A few days before I made a small frame under daughters 8x8 play house and used a golf cart axle at one end. The other end I made up a flat bar and bolted it to a hitch on my 3 point compact tractor. Backed tractor and play house on friends 30' deck over. He pulled it for me to new house. Drove right off and into yard. I will chicken house.jpg play house.jpg

Sadly, my truck has never towed anything. I have not towing package. :(

In the bed, I've hauled plenty; too much to remember.
